This was created to provide a convenient and central location, from which a user can quickly scan headlines from many news sources. This facilitates access to stories in a matter of minutes that would otherwise be exhaustive and time-consuming. The news items are presented to you un-filtered and uncensored. We let you decide which news source to trust and access. It is not within our goal to offer any editorial or promote any news source.

EthioIndex Webcast EthioIndex Webcast brings you a live discussion concerning various topics on a regularly scheduled timeline. EthioIndex Webcast monitors current news for webcast topics and takes suggestions from the public in choosing to work on a program. EthioIndex Webcast is a public service and draws 100% of it's team for a group of volunteers who give their time and expertise to bring this program to you.

Currently we are producing a program on an average of every six weeks. Next years, 2004, our goal is to increase the frequency of webcast program to every four weeks on average. You are always encouraged to send in your comments and participate in our live program by calling the toll free number we publish on our webcasts during the week of the webcast.

Medrek Discussion Forum This is a unique service that tied to EthioIndex but managed separately from other EthioIndex services and features. Medrek is a multi-topic discussion forum with the goal to providing a central location to ask questions, share information and build a knowledgebase. Forums on Medrek cover a variety of topics ranging from current events, social issues, computers, health, sport and many more. Medrek is the most active discussion forum on Ethiopia with over 20,000 postings and growing in a little over a year after it started it service.

More forums will be created as the need arises and by request for groups that have a need for a private message boards.

EthioIndex will not sensor any opinion and users are free to post their views no matter how "unpopular" it might be. At the same time, we will not allow the system to be used to insult any group or individual. We reserve the right to strictly enforce the rules and restrict users who abuse the system.

EthioIndex Directory EthioIndex Directory is multi category collection of links related to Ethiopia. This has been a major effort by our group to try to make the thousands of Ethiopian websites on the internet easily accessible by the community. This database is populated by our people and the many contributors like you who regularly inform us of new website and changes. We are always looking for ideas on how to improve this service and we would be happy to hear from you.
